Year graduating?

2023

Why did you join the EEA?

Joining the EEA gave me, a graduating student, the chance to gain insight to an AFL club, getting to experience placements that involved the community allowing for people to get familiar with you as a person and understand what you enjoy doing at the club. The EEA provided me with the connections needed to potentially pursue a career within the club and gain further experience through trialling new placements.

Most memorable experience from the EEA?

I would say that the most rewarding part of joining the EEA is the amount of placement opportunities that are offered to you throughout the year. Within the past semester I have done placements ranging from The Hall of Fame event, junior clinics, game day placements, The Long Walk and many more. The opportunities are endless when being a part of an AFL club but, nothing could beat the feeling of when I worked with the footy department at the Dreamtime Match.

Future Career goals?

My future goals would be to work at Essendon Football Club, when being a student the connections you build with people are endless and you could only imagine how close you grow to people once they become your colleagues! I would love to work in the events and community sector of the club, through experience I have found that the placements I pick up within those sectors tend to be the most rewarding and enjoyable to assist at.

Something not many people would know about you?

When I was growing up, I would have interest in watching AFL or start conversations with others about it. When I started as a student at Essendon, I immediately was drawn to the club and the belonging nature that they gave off. When being at The Hangar and speaking to the players, you can immediately sense that they are striving towards one common goal at the end of the season and it’s great to see that you are a part of a club with such a high motivation towards something.
