I joined EEA with the idea to try something completely new. Coming fresh out of high school I didn’t know what I path I wanted to pursue and felt stuck. I found EEA and after reading into it I was never more certain on taking a lucky punt in my life and applying. With EEA offering many opportunities to build your network and get to experience a large variety of areas, I have been able to to explore and find what I truly enjoy doing!
Most memorable experience from the EEA?
MY favourite and most rewarding experience is taking charge of the mascots Skeeta and Sky on game day! With this task I was not only given full responsibility to make sure the mascot’s jobs were run smoothly, but I also got to engage with many of the staff and see many Essendon fans smile while I walked and guided Skeeta and Sky around the boundary line. I also got to see how things are run behind the scenes and see how much work is really put into these game days and events to make sure they are the most enjoyable for all. Future Career goals?
Since joining EEA I have always kept my options open as I am constantly trying to enhance my skill set and grow as an individual. Something EEA has really got my interests hooked on right now is towards the digital marketing side of the club. I enjoy getting creative in fun and unique ways that the club can benefit and grow from and assist in things such as fan engagement. For my future goals I do hope to play a bigger part in the success of the club and gain many new connections and friends that I can succeed beside.
Something not many people would know about you?
Something many people may not know about me is that the first person I got into a conversation with when joining EEA was Dustin Fletcher. I didn’t know where to enter the Hangar from and I caught him leaving his car, I asked him where to enter and ended up chatting for about 20 minutes. He made me feel like I was an AFL legend and he was a fan. From that point on I knew joining EEA was going to be filled with fun and genuine people.
