About THE EEA

This unique qualification is perfect for a sport enthusiast with an interest in Business, Leadership and Management. Delivered at the NEC Hangar, home of the Essendon Football Club, students undertake a Dual Diploma of Business, Leadership and Management in a unique one-year full time program.

The EEA Experience

In addition to the formal qualifications, students participate in our sports business placement program, which provides students with real life, hands-on opportunities to enhance their professional and personal development. EEA are proud to offer students a diverse range of placement opportunities, giving students access to practical experiences to apply their EEA learnings and enhance employment outcomes through a sporting and entertainment lens.

For those with a keen interest in developing their football skills, whether it be as an athlete or coach, EEA also offer a Football Development Program designed and delivered by EFC Legend, Dustin Fletcher. Not only does the Football Development Program target the improvement of on-field football skills, but it also encourages students to embrace the parallels between sport, business and leadership.

Key components that will enhance the student experience include:

  • Two graduate roles to be offered at the Essendon Football Club per calendar year

  • 100 hours of industry experience provided across departments of the Essendon Football Club and its partner network

  • Opportunity to study at the Essendon Football Club

  • Articulation pathways into undergraduate programs at RMIT

BUILD YOUR NETWORK IN SPORT

With direct access to Essendon Football Club staff and industry mentors, students gain a unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the day-to-day administration and operations of a professional AFL club.

Through placement hours at Essendon Football Club, students can build valuable industry connections and expand their professional network across the AFL landscape.

Throughout the year, EEA also delivers exclusive networking events and industry engagement opportunities, connecting students with like-minded peers and experienced sports industry professionals to support their career development and growth.
